WHAT WE DO
Ask any accountant what services they offer and they list all, most or some of the following;
- online company formation, usually within four working hours of instruction
- bookkeeping and accountancy, including preparation of VAT returns
- preparation of management accounts
- monthly payroll and year end filing
- year end statutory accounts preparation
- corporation tax planning and compliance work
- preparation of income tax returns
- retirement, or trade disposal of businesses
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
We are most especially happy not to be able to offer an audit service. This means that we are unable to act for the 0.1% or so of UK limited companies that require an audit, which is fine. Neither can we act for a small but select group of niche businesses, for example any that are FCA registered or solicitors that require Solicitors Accounts Rules compliance work, which is even better!
We are not registered to provide investment advice, which is a good thing, and that most specifically includes not offering pension advice.
We do not work outside our range of knowledge or experience and will quickly and happily declare when presented with such a situation.
Over the years we have developed some excellent contacts that we can turn to for advice or recommend as appropriate. If we refer a client for specialist advice we do not seek any form of commission or referral fee, we just bask in the joy of knowing that they are being properly advised.
HOW WE DO WHAT WE DO
We do all our work to a timescale that suits the client and for fees that are quoted in advance and adhered to. We also like to think we provide our services with a degree of humour. That though is less likely as key deadlines approach as it is at this time many clients finally volunteer the accounting information we have been chasing for months, in the mistaken belief that they are the only ones leaving it that late.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Our purpose is to assist clients in maintaining their accountancy records in an efficient and cost-effective manner, so enabling them to concentrate on running their business and doing what they do best.
With 40 years in practise advising small businesses, we like to think that are our advice is relevant and cost effective. In that time we have assisted hundreds of small businesses to set up and develop.
